Through Your Gifts, the Hope of Recovery is Realized

There are many ways to help Project Turnabout continue to change lives for those with suffering from the disease of addiction.  We sincerely appreciate any and all gifts and recognize that your donation is your vote of confidence in the addiction treatment work we do.

The sections below offer more detail and explanation of ways to give, to be used as aides when deciding on a donation method.  No content on this website is intended to replace legal counsel or tax advisor advice, and we encourage you to consult an attorney or legal planner for advice.

Donations can be made to either Reverence for Life and Concern for People, Inc. or our (DBA) Project Turnabout name.

Memorial & Honorary Gifts
A Memorial or Honorary Gift is a wonderful way to honor a special person in your life or remember a loved one who passed with a gift that helps those seeking addiction treatment.  A gift honoring someone in recovery is a great way to celebrate their journey to a better quality of life.

For more Information on making a donation contact: Mark Sannerud, Director Development & Outreach at 800-862-1453 or Email Mark

Transfer of Stock
If you would like make a gift by transferring stock or bonds into Project Turnabout’s name, please consider advisement by your broker and/or financial planner. Your donation of stock can be completed anonymously, but we welcome the opportunity to thank you for your gift.  Please e-mail Mark Sannerud at msannerud@projectturnabout.org with the details of your gift. Thank you!

Bequest or Will (Planned Gift)
A planned gift through a Bequest or Will can ensure that Project Turnabout will continue our work into the future.  Your gift can be unrestricted or designated for a specific treatment program — patient scholarships or any of the funds that are available for donations.

Please notify us at msannerud@projectturnabout.org if you decide to leave a bequest gift to Project Turnabout and make the arrangements for the legal portion of that decision to be completed.  We would like to have the opportunity to thank you for your generosity.

The official bequest language for Reverence for Life and Concern for People, Inc. is: “I, [name], of [city, state, ZIP], give, devise and bequeath to Reverence for Life and Concern for People, Inc. [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted use and purpose.”

If you prefer to remain anonymous, your gift will be kept completely confidential.  If you have any other specific requests for a bequest, please contact the Development Department at 1-800-862-1453 for assistance.

Unrestricted vs. Designated Gifts
Any donation, either immediate or planned, to the annual fund can be either unrestricted or designated (restricted). Unrestricted donations are used in whatever area of the organization that the Project Turnabout leadership team determines is most in need of funding.  These donations can be extremely useful, as the areas of the organization in greatest need are able to receive the funding to support our mission.

Designated or sometimes called restricted gifts, are those that are donated to the annual fund and earmarked for use in a specific program like inpatient chemical dependency scholarships, the inpatient compulsive gambling program, or the Native American fund. Please be reminded that all donations are carefully used to continue our mission of providing individuals and families with a lifetime of recovery.

Matching Gifts
Matching Gifts are a wonderful way to double the impact of your giving by pairing your gift with that of a corporation or foundation. Thousands of companies and corporate foundations match gifts to nonprofit institutions.

• Eligible donors can compound the value of their contribution, perhaps by as much as two or three times.
• Many donors are eligible to submit matching gift claims for both their own and their spouse’s employer for the same gift.

Please check with your human resource department to see if they have a matching gift program. For questions about matching gifts, contact the Development Department at Project Turnabout at 1-800-862-1453

Project Turnabout Recognition of Capital Donors

The Donor Recognition Board is one of the ways that we honor our wonderful financial supporters.  It is displayed in the lobby of Project Turnabout’s main campus in Granite Falls to recognize donors, foundations, and special individuals that have contributed to our capital fundraising efforts.

If you have any questions or would like to further discuss the many options of making a wonderful impact on the lives of the individuals we serve, please contact Mark Sannerud, Director of Development at msannerud@projectturnabout.org or 1-800-862-1453
