Before I came to Project Turnabout my life was unmanageable – that’s for sure. Luckily, God intervened. I was stuck in a selfish hole of a life. It was mine, and I just ignored it. I was fortunate to have family and friends who were concerned, and I finally ended up at Project Turnabout.
It was the best thing that happened to me. God worked with these care givers and gave me hope. I’m sure I was a challenge. I ‘m very stubborn, but the lessons I learned, and will continue to learn, came with the TRUST I felt from all the staff and community.
The unity with my peers and life skills I lost in the middle of my addiction, I started to find. I started to learn about myself. It was the beginning, and I still have much to learn. I will always be learning, which is a gift I have now. The lectures are amazing. I don’t think I have talked to one person who could mock what Project Turnabout has to offer in regards to helping one with addiction. I learned so much about the recovery process. The best part is that they are a great resource for family members.
I’m still early in recovery. However, I do know that I would recommend Project Turnabout to anyone who wants some help. It’s a tough road, but it’s easier when you have people who understand and can be there when the only thing one trusts is their addiction.
