View our Outpatient and Continuing Care Brochure

Outpatient and Continuing Care treatment is available in at our Granite Falls, Marshall, Redwood Falls, and Willmar facilities. These programs use the same model of care as our residential programs and serve individuals who are appropriate (based on their assessment) for a less intensive treatment option.

Outpatient and Continuing Care Program Goals

• Assist individuals and families in understanding and accepting the problem as a disease
• Provide direction and support in learning positive self-care techniques
• Guide individuals in becoming positively involved as a member of their family and their community
• Help establish an outside support system which promotes the freedom from the use of alcohol and/or other drugs

Outpatient Program

Project Turnabout’s Outpatient Treatment Program provides a supportive and caring environment for individuals and families to address an alcohol and/or drug problem while continuing in their daily routine of work, school, and family life. Our professional counseling staff assists in restructuring lives and establishing chemically-free lifestyles through the use of education, group therapy, individual sessions, spiritual counseling, and family involvement. The Outpatient Program incorporates the philosophy of Alcoholics Anonymous while addressing the physical, emotional, social, vocational, and spiritual issues of this devastating disease.

Continuing Care Program

The Continuing Care Program is designed to improve accountability and patient recovery rates. This program is initially twelve weeks in length, meets weekly for two hours, and is offered to a patient being discharged from any Residential or Outpatient Program who lives within a reasonable distance from one of our locations. This program can be extended beyond the twelve weeks when appropriate.

Family members are encouraged to participate in all programs as often as possible. As the disease of chemical dependency progresses in an individual, it also progresses in their family members. Family members and loved ones become so skilled at watching the chemically dependent person and trying to help or control the problem, they often forget to take care of themselves. They feel out of control and somehow responsible for the painful confusion that exists within the family. Working with professionals, families will gain the insight and tools to make the necessary positive changes to enhance their own and their loved ones recovery.
