Volunteer For Project Turnabout
Project Turnabout continues building a valuable support system through our alumni. Our alumni and friends provide a tremendous asset to us in the many ways that they volunteer in many different facets. If you, as an alumni or friend, are interested in supporting and giving back to the Project Turnabout, who helped you on your recovery journey, please contact our Alumni Coordinator, Stefanie Ryan, via email at sryan@projectturnabout.org or call 1-800-862-1453. There are many ways to stay involved, and we welcome your participation and support!
Some Ways You Can Volunteer:
• Become an Alumni Contact - We continue to seek individuals that have completed our treatment program successfully and would like to be a contact for your recovering community. The relationship that is fostered through this connection helps an individual that has just completed treatment create a network of support in recovery between people educated in the Project Turnabout recovery philosophy.
• Give Back as a Speaker - There are many opportunities to share your journey of recovery at the following events listed below. Project Turnabout feels that continual fellowship strengthens the recovery journey. If you have interest in speaking, please contact Caroline Chan at cchan@projectturnabout.org or 1-800-862-1453.
o Saturday Night Open Recovery Meetings – Project Turnabout hosts weekly Saturday night meetings for men, women, and community members.
o Men’s Sunday Night Meetings – Project Turnabout hosts weekly Sunday night meetings for men in recovery.
o Women’s Recovery Luncheons – We host monthly Women’s Recovery Luncheons open to women in recovery, interested in recovery, and their family members. Come for great fellowship and education. Lunch is provided free of charge.
o Quarterly Speaker Meetings – Project Turnabout hosts a Quarterly Speaker Meeting that provides individuals and families with education, fellowship, and recovery stories from great line of speakers. These are held in February, May, August, and November.
• Assist at Community Events - Volunteering at a Project Turnabout event, Community Health Fair, or other community event is a great way to give back to the recovery community.
• Orient Others - Introduce others to the traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
• Donate – As a non-profit organization, Project Turnabout welcomes donations that support the work of our mission. You can designate your donation to the program of your choice for helping others seeking the hope of recovery. Please click here to learn more about options for donation.
Project Turnabout welcomes all volunteers and appreciates your wonderful support.
Remember, the most important benefit of being a volunteer is the satisfaction of helping others. Whether it’s a warm hello, a friendly face or a helping hand, just knowing that you made a difference in someone’s life makes it all worthwhile.
