Our Mission & Principles
We strive to gain philanthropic support for Project Turnabout Centers for Addiction Recovery’s patients, families, programs and services to ensure continued access to care for those who need us. We do this by developing, managing and showing responsible stewardship of funds donated for charitable purposes. Our mission is focused 100% on our patients and services.
Our philanthropy mission, along with our entire nonprofit management and governance ethic, is an investment in our patients and services. Altogether, these focus to fulfill our guiding principle: “Keeping our costs down and our doors open to all.”
Project Turnabout’s History
Since 1970, Project Turnabout has witnessed the miracle of lives being restored in the patients and families we serve, seeing first-hand beautiful things emerge from hard places. Every day, our donors help us to save someone’s dad, mom, spouse, child, sibling or grandparent who has turned to us for help.
Officially incorporated in 1971 as Reverence for Life and Concern for People, Inc., a 501(c) 3 nonprofit charitable organization, and more widely recognized as our “doing business as” name, Project Turnabout, we’ve established ourselves through the years as a premier provider of alcohol and drug addiction treatment services. Additionally we are one of only a handful of proven inpatient treatment programs nationwide for compulsive gambling treatment.
In summary, for over 45 years, Project Turnabout has been providing high quality, affordable residential/inpatient addiction treatment services in Granite Falls, Minnesota. Our serene, natural-prairie campus, dotted with granite rock outcroppings, houses 122 patients in two Centers of Excellence; The Center for Alcohol and Drug Recovery and The Vanguard Center for Gambling Recovery. Transitional living homes and outpatient services have also evolved under our umbrella in Willmar, Marshall and Redwood Falls.
