Project Turnabout is a non-profit addiction recovery center offering an expansive continuum of individually tailored treatment and recovery services. Our abstinence-based, multidisciplinary approach is framed around the 12-Steps of Recovery. It also incorporates a wide range of current therapeutic modalities and holistic services. The unique spirit and commitment of Project Turnabout’s staff offers patients the greatest opportunity to experience the miracle of recovery and regain the lives they thought they had lost. As a Referring Professional, We Assure:
Treatment Collaboration and Seamless Continuity of Care
Project Turnabout respects and values the relationship you have forged with your patient or client. With signed consent from the patient, you can continue to be involved in their care. Our staff informs you of patient progress during treatment and consult with you regarding the patients individualized treatment plan. Upon discharge from our services, a comprehensive discharge summary will be provided so you and your patient are able to assure continued recovery progress at home. We also use electronic medical records to provide consistent care in-house and through the transition back home.
Leading-Edge, Professional Care
The heart of Project Turnabout is its exceptional team and focus on excellence in recovery. Our typical patient-to-counselor ratio is less than 7:1. Our addiction treatment specialists have completed advanced training and are fully licensed in their respective discipline, including addiction counselors, mental health practitioners, a non-denominational chaplain, a certified wellness and activities programmer, nutritionists, a physician assistant, and round-the-clock registered and licensed nursing staff.
24/7 Medical and Detox Services
Our 24-hour Medical and Detoxification Services provides a safe environment for all our patients, while making treatment available to patients whose medical conditions may disqualify them from treatment in many programs. The staff includes a nurse practitioner (CNP), registered and licensed practical nurses (RN/LPN), specialty medication assistants, and also human service technicians, capable of caring for virtually all types of medical issues and conditions.
Specialized Recovery Programs
Project Turnabout has two distinct centers of excellence in addiction recovery: The Center for Alcohol and Drug Recovery and the Vanguard Center for Gambling Recovery. Each center has recovery programs that focus on the comprehensive needs of the and unique characteristics of differing addictions.
We strive to keep each program entirely separate. We carefully rotate scheduled activities to eliminate any overlap between programs in the main campus areas. For more information about our programs, please visit the links below.

Affordable and Accessible Care and Services
Since opening, we have worked diligently to keep our services as affordable as possible. The costs of treatment at Project Turnabout are one-third of the rates
of other national programs commonly recognized as comparable to ours. And we work hard to assure that everyone who seeks care is able to get it, regardless of financial circumstances. Today, we continue to increase our development activity to create financial aid support for patients and families in need.
Additionally, we work with a wide range of local and national insurers and health plans. We also work with county human services departments throughout Minnesota. We work hard not to turn anyone away because of lack of financial means.
